Florida Intercity Ferries


Scheduled daily ferry service between Key West and Fort Myers Beach, Marco Island.  Travel time is 3.5 hours.  Plans to to service Cuba, a 5 hour trip from Fort Myers Beach, are in the works.

St. Johns River Ferry:

Also known as the Mayport Ferry, an automobile and passenger ferry that connects the north and south ends of Florida State Road A1A in Duval County, between Mayport and Fort George Island, two areas within Jacksonville, Florida. The 0.9 miles (1.4 km) voyage crosses the Saint Johns River about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) inland of the river's mouth and travels in an east-west direction for approximately 2,000 feet (610 m) on State Road A1A. It departs every half hour.  The alternate driving route uses the toll-free Dames Point Bridge but is 28 miles (45 km) long. The ferry has been operating since 1874.[1][2]

Florida Tourism Ferries


Caladesi Island State Park Ferry

Scheduled ferry service between Caladesi Island State Park and Honeymoon Island State Park, near Dunedin, Fla.  Travel time is short.

Drayton Island Ferry:

An auto ferry that crosses the St. Johns River in Putnam CountyFlorida, connecting Georgetown on the eastern bank with Drayton Island, located in the middle of the river at the north end of Lake George. It provides the only public access to the island.

Dry Tortugas National Park Ferry

Scheduled daily ferry service between Key West and Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas National Park.  Travel time is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Fort De Soto Ferrry to Egmont Key:

Scheduled ferry service between Hubbard's Marina in the Fort Desoto Park and Egmont Key, a natural barrier island outside the Tampa Bay.

Fort De Soto Ferrry to Shell Key Preserve:

Scheduled ferry service between Hubbard's Marina in the Fort Desoto Park and Shell Key Preserve, a natural and uninhabited barrier island.

Fort Gates Ferry:

An auto ferry that crosses the St. Johns River in Florida, downstream of Lake George and just upstream of Little Lake George, at Fruitland Cove. The oldest operating ferry in Florida, it acts as part of the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway.

South Venice Ferry:

Ferry to Manasota Key.  

Ferries to the Bahamas



Scheduled daily ferry service between Fort Lauderdale and Freeport, Bahamas.  Travel time is 3 hours.
